This multi-use performance space is designed to accommodate theatre, dance, music and a range of other activities, including assembly and examinations. The octagonal plan of the building is designed to fit within a central landscaped courtyard.
In order to provide the necessary versatility, the building is equipped with electronically controlled multi-level staging and retractable seating for an audience of 600, or be slid back to provide clear open space. The building is fully equipped as a self-contained auditorium with a foyer, visitor toilet and catering facilities, and changing rooms and a sound and lighting studio at back-of-house.
