Malcolm Payne Group was established in 1986 and is an owner-managed, design-lead business, operating country-wide from hubs in London and Birmingham. We work in the related fields of architecture, design and building conservation. Our mission is to provide our clients with creative solutions that achieve their goals in satisfying user-requirements, adding value to their land and buildings, and enhancing the environment.

The essential elements of our work are to design attractive and sustainable buildings, and to integrate new development into its surroundings, whether the existing urban fabric, or sensitive rural or historic environments. To this end, we combine the skills to create modern, high quality buildings with the expertise to restore heritage assets and convert them to beneficial use.
OUR CLIENTS
We work for developers, housebuilders, building owners and occupiers, undertaking projects in the residential, commercial and education sectors. We welcome new clients, research their particular requirements and we frequently find that our understanding of their approach to development leads to repeat commissions over many years. We equally value new challenges alongside the continuity of working for longstanding clients.
HOW WE OPERATE
As a Royal Institute of British Architects’ Chartered Practice, we adhere to well-defined professional standards including maintaining appropriate levels of professional indemnity insurance, ensuring the skill levels of our staff and operating policies on employment, diversity, health and safety, and environmental standards.
We follow the RIBA quality management system and we are a designated service advisor under the Historic Environment Service Provider Recognition Scheme operated by the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.
